Transportation Marketing & Strategy-Federal Work Study Student Assistant

Job Description 

This student employee under the Federal Work-Study program will assist with the planned re-branding of DVRPC’s Share-A-Ride (SAR) ridematch program and will spend some time working with the Office of Transit, Bicycle, and Pedestrian Planning (OTBP) on the Workforce to Warehouse shuttles study and a review of peer ridematch and service programs, like Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission (SPC)'s CommuteInfo program. They will report to the Manager, Office of TDM Strategy and Marketing, but any work with OTBP will be overseen by a planner in that office. 

Responsibilities 

  • Further analysis of the SAR research conducted by EaseConsult
  • Assisting with the execution of the plan for rebranding, including but not limited to:
  • Input on new program name and logo
  • Survey of current SAR registrants and regular users
  • Developing new materials after rebranding
  • Coordination with software vendor
  • Work with TMAs on addressing their needs for SAR
  • Reporting on Air Quality Action/Partnership Summer 2025 media results
  • Assisting with TripSmart PA plans and outreach

Qualifications 

  • Junior or Senior undergraduate students, or Master's students
  • Major or concentration in the following areas: marketing, public relations, business, English, writing, transportation or urban planning/studies, community development
  • Must have work-study grant to support compensation for this work
  • Could consider work for course credit (non-paid)

Availability 

This is a hybrid position which requires a commitment of up to 15 hours per week.

Compensation 

$17 per hour for interns currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree. $20 per hour for candidates currently pursuing a Master’s degree. Only students with Work-Study funding will be considered.
